What Girls Do During the Fathers and Sons Outing

WHAT DO GIRLS DO WHEN THE GUYS ARE AT THE FATHERS AND SONS CAMP OUT?

One of the moms in my ward asked if my daughters could do a spa night for their daughters while the dads were at the fathers and sons camp out.  Our upstairs was wall to wall girls, nail polish, footbaths, hairspray, curling irons, etc.  Then we went downstairs and watched Anne of Green Gables.  The little girls were so cute.  Their moms had given them $1 bills and they paid the girls with their cash.
The other moms, Susan Harris, Kim Verespey and Kristy PhillipsMandie giving Kaitlyn a foot massage.

                                         Then her little sister, Emma.

Emily did hair for the girls.

Jamie and her best friend Savanah enjoyed themselves.

 Anyone thirsty?

Jamie gave the girls smoothing hand therapy.

Even us moms got in on the action.
Kaitlyn did a great job of painting my toenails.

The Collis and Best girls were a great help.

We definatley bonded that night!  Emma and her mom Kim.

Elizabeth and her mom, Susan.

Analise and her mom, Kristy.

Emily and Kim.
The sun is going down (view off our back deck), time for the movie!

I Love Spring!

SPRING COMES TO OUR MOUNTAIN!

The Dogwoods are in bloom!  This is the dogwood tree across from our school bus stop.  It was such a nice day today that I took the long walk home from Jamie's bus stop and took pictures of our neighborhood,

When through the woods and forest glades I wander, and hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.....Our mountain home so dear, where crystal waters clear, flow ever free...while through the valleys wide, the flowers on every sideblooming on every side, are fair to see.May 12, 2010, 8:00 a.m. Cedarpines Park.Oh what a beautiful morning!

Two weeks ago I went with Jamie's class to Huntington Library on a field trip.  It was 70 degrees with a little breeze.  The guide said it was the most beautiful day she had ever seen at the Huntington.  Jamie had never been there, so I was thrilled she loved it.  It was a fabulous day.

On May 4th we celebrted Emily's 18th birhtday at El Torito.  She graduates next month and will go to college in San Bernardino to become a registered nurse.  She is working at Arrowhead Ranch and Pine Crest Camps as a camp counselor.  We are very proud of our Em!
